The Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) of Aga Khan University (AKU), Karachi, Pakistan is pleased to announce a short course on Concepts and Planning for Telehealth in the Developing World scheduled from May 26–June 1, 2008. This course is part of CHS’s Continuing Education Programme. 

Course Contents and Educational Strategies
The course will cover the following topics:

• Introduction to the Concepts of Telehealth;
• Learning Technologies through Examples/Case studies;
• Planning and Implementation of Telehealth;
• Impact Assessment and Evaluation.  

A mix of local and international faculty will be invited to teach this course. The local faculty will instruct through interactive sessions at AKU, whereas the international faculty will conduct their sessions virtually, using e-learning resources. Participants may be expected to make presentations on topics assigned.  Field visits are scheduled to take participants to observe use of telehealth in different settings.

Course fee: PKR 19,900/-
The course fee covers classroom instructions, course material, and food and refreshment during working hours. Mode of payment will be communicated to selected candidates.
