Programme for AKU-SON
The programmes at the School of Nursing include English for the Diploma, BscN and the MScN programmes. In addition to the regular programmes there is a remedial course for Track 1 students from the Diploma programme and an Enrichment programme for BScN students who seek admission in the Post RN programme. All these courses reach out to more than 500 nursing students each year with over 2,000 hours of input.
Programme for AKU Employees
The Employee programme caters to the job-specific English language needs of the diverse employee groups at AKU. It offers 40 courses/workshops to 700 faculty and management/non-management staff of various departments throughout the year.
Online English Language Learning
The Online English Language Learning (OELL) programme is presently available on intranet. It is a fast and interactive form of language learning that promotes student-centred instruction and transforms learning into a personalised, technology based experience. With the integration of the OELL programme CEL will be able to establish a sound base for an Information Communications Technology (ICT) integrated curriculum for our university's academic and professional language learning programmes. |
