The objective of this website is to make AKUH,K more accessible to the community by providing you with comprehensive and up-to-date information about the Hospital facilities, its faculty and their areas of expertise, clinic timings and contact numbers.

We at AKUH,K recognise the importance of establishing long and lasting relationships with the community. We indeed value your contribution, and together with the expertise and commitment of our faculty and the dedication of our employees, we can work in tandem for the general well-being of our community. Our interactive Signs, Symptoms and Care (SSC) Programmes, Continuing Medical Education (CME) programmes provide a useful forum for community members and doctors to share their mutual experiences as well as update their knowledge and skills on latest concepts and trends in treatment and diagnosis of health problems.

We make a strong effort in ensuring that our systems are built on principles of quality and we strive for continuous improvement in the systems. This dedication and commitment to quality helped us achieve another milestone in 2006 when AKUH,K became the first hospital in Pakistan and among the select few teaching hospitals in the world to be awarded Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA), the most prestigious certification for achieving and maintaining internationally recognised quality standards in health care. The Hospital also continues to hold the ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Management System certification.
