Diagnostic Services

The Department of Radiology is well-equipped to cater to a variety of patients and their radiological procedures. Round-the-clock service fulfils the needs of inpatients, outpatients and outside referrals by providing the best possible and modern diagnostic facilities in the main Radiology unit as well as in its off-campus facility. The Department provides vital support services across the spectrum of clinical specialties, and as leaders we initiate and promote change.

The Department of Radiology is licensed by the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA). Renewal of the license is linked with the Radiation Protection regulation compliance which PNRA checks and recognises through their annual inspections.

The Department offers the following diagnostic services during scheduled timings:

• Orthopantomography (OPG) and Cephalometry
• Mammography
• Ultrasound
• Vascular and Interventional Radiology (VIR)
• Computerised Tomography (CT Scan)
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
• Nuclear Medicine (NM)
• Bone Densitometer

Please note that for all studies which require IV Iodinated Contrast, Department of Radiology only use Non-Ionic Contrast, which is Low Osmolar, at no extra cost. Please consult the Radiation Safety Plan for further information.
