service. We provide support from the moment we are
contacted to get information on treatment at AKUH.

Medical Opinion
Patients who are planning to visit the Hospital
for treatment or need a second opinion from AKUH,
can send their detailed medical reports and diagnostic
test results for our consultant's review and opinion.
The Hospital will be pleased to provide our doctor's
feedback regarding possible treatment options, the
prognosis and the approximate duration of hospital
stay.
Schedule Appointments
Appointments for out-patient consultation with doctors and hospital room reservation
for direct admission to the Hospital are arranged on dates convenient to the
patients. In case of hospitalization, an initial deposit has to be made at the
time of admission. If the payment has to be made by a third party, a confirmation
letter is required atleast one week before patients' admission to the Hospital.
Treatment Cost Estimates
AKUH offers package prices for common surgeries
/ procedures including Angiography, Angioplasty,
Open Heart Surgery, Cataract Surgery, Paediatric
Surgeries and Delivery Packages. In addtion to this,
prior estimates on the cost of their treatment is
provided to patients on case to case basis. This
enables the patient and the family to know before
hand the cost of treatment and be in control of the
total expenses. However, in some cases where the
doctor needs to physically examine the patient to
decide for the treatment, the estimates can not be
provided beforehand.
Travel Assistance
To avoid any inconvenience at the airport, AKUH
offers complimentary airport pick-up and drop off
service to its international patients. The Hospital
also provides assistance for ticket confirmations,
registration with local security agencies on entry
and exit at the Karachi Airport if required, and
obtaining best exchange rates for your currency.

Hotel Accomodation
Hotel room reservations at specially discounted rates are made for patients
and their attendants on request. Several good hotels are located within a radius
of 10-12 kms of the Hospital. We can help you find one which is within your
budget whether it be deluxe, moderate or economy accomodation.
