Information on AKUH Services and Facilities
AKUH Patient Referral and Information Desk provides comprehensive and up-to-date
information on AKUH services and facilities, names of faculty - their areas
of expertise and clinic schedules. As part of our societal commitment, the hospital
has developed patient education brochures on common clinical conditions, general
health awareness and preventive health care, for free distribution among general
public. All these brochures are
available at our Desk.
Schedule Appointments
AKUH Patient Referral and Information Desk assists patients in scheduling their
appointments at AKUH for outpatient consultations, diagnostic tests and procedures.
This avoids the hassle for patients to call or visit Karachi for scheduling
appointments. For elective procedures including Angiography, Angioplasty, Open
Heart Surgery, etc., patients' direct admission to the hospital can also be
arranged. For details please contact on the numbers mention above.
Cost Estimates
AKUH offers package prices for common surgeries / procedures including Angiography,
Angioplasty, Open Heart Surgery, Cataract Surgery, Paediatric Surgeries and
Delivery Packages. In addtion, patients can also obtain prior estimates on the
cost of treatment from the Desk. This enables the patient and the family to
know before hand the cost of treatment and be in control of the total expenses.
However, in some cases where the doctor needs to physically examine the patient
to decide the treatment, the estimates can not be provided beforehand.
Collection of Medical Report from AKUH
For our patients' convenience, the Patient Referral and Information Desk in
Hyderabad also assists patients in collecting medical reports and diagnostic
test results performed at AKUH. These reports can be collected by the Desk on
patients' request and delivered to them.
Any Other Need
In addition to the above mentioned services, we indeed would like to take care
of our patients' other requests or special needs.
