Patient Admission Process
Self-paying patients
Self-paying patients can obtain an estimate of the
cost of treatment from the Patient Business Services
Department (PBSD), which is based on the length of
your stay in the Hospital, nature of treatment and
surgical procedure(s) (if required). The estimates
are, however, subject to variation depending on the
need for treatment. All self-pay patients are required
to pay a deposit, which is usually the estimated cost.
The deposit is payable at the time of admission except
when you are admitted in an Emergency condition. In
such a case, arrangements for payment can be made within
the next 24 hours. You will be requested to name a
guarantor who will be responsible for all the financial
obligations. Payment can be made in cash, by cheque
(subject to prior approval by PBSD) or through all
major credit cards.
