Semi Private and General Ward

As you will be spending most of your time at AKUH in your room, special care and attention have gone into creating a relaxed atmosphere. Two-bed Semi Private rooms and five-bed General Wards are designed to provide maximum privacy to the patients. Semi Private rooms have an attached modern, fully equipped bathroom; while the ward patients share several common bathrooms. In addition, following services are available.

• The Semi Private rooms are air-conditioned and regulators are provided to control individual room temperatures.
• Over-bed table can be adjusted for reading, writing and eating. Its fold-away mirror can be used for shaving or personal grooming;
• Your bed is equipped with side-rails for your protection. For personal adjustments, please request the nursing staff to assist you.
• A call button is located near your bed. A communication panel provides voice communication with the nursing station on the floor.
• There is an emergency nurse call button in the bathroom to ensure prompt assistance at all times, and the bathroom door can be opened from outside in case of an emergency. You nurse will show you how and when to use it.
