Patient Admission Process

When you are admitted into the Hospital we try to make you feel welcomed. You can rest assured that a team of dedicated and competent professionals will be there to take care of you and make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Emergency cases are provided immediate attention by a team of doctors and nurses. If required, patients are admitted through the Emergency Department, 24 hours a day, every day of the year, including the public holidays.

Non-Emergency (Elective) patients are referred by the family physician through any Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) consultant. To avoid delays, register with the Admissions office a day or two in advance and indicate your choice of room.

The patient may like to be admitted in the Private Wing, the Semi Private or the General Ward, depending on his or her preference. The payment method depends whether the person admitted is a corporate patient or a self-paying patient.
