Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery Section

The Section of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery offers a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services including Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and Cochlear Implantation. The outpatient clinics offer a comprehensive audiologic testing facility complete with soundproof room and state-of-the-art audiometers for routine free field-testing. Brainstem audiometry facility is shared with the Neurology Department.

The Consulting Clinic is equipped with microscope for otological evaluation, and fibre-optic and rigid endoscopies for examination of the sinuses. The section has qualified speech pathologists and offers clinics for patients with speech and voice problems. This section has a very busy clinic for patients with cancer of head and neck. The multidisciplinary clinic team meets once every week and the otolaryngologists in consultation with plastic and maxillofacial surgeons evaluate patients and provide optimal treatment.
