AKU-EB only design and offer examinations for the National Curriculum approved by the Government of Pakistan, and it is the National Curriculum syllabuses which will shape classroom activities.

AKU-EB is intended to serve as a model of internationally recognised good practice, in order to enhance the country's capacity for educational assessment and tests. Focusing on this aspect AKU-EB has also developed its own Teachers Training Programme and has imparted training to more than 2000 teachers throughout the country. Affiliations with AKU-EB are entirely voluntary. If they so choose, schools and parents opt for a well-designed set of educational value.
